About Us

My name is Jade Maclaren and I founded Addicted to Handbags in 2015.  My own personal luxury handbag addiction began when I bought my first Mulberry Bayswater following the completion of my Chartered Accounting and Tax Qualifications.  From then I began to buy and sell pre-loved Mulberry handbags – initially selling via Ebay and subsequently social media.  Up until 2021, Addicted to Handbags operated alongside my day job in professional services.  My passion for luxury handbags and sustainability led to the growth of the business and has allowed me to focus full time on Addicted to Handbags. And, yes, I can confirm that working with designer handbags is more interesting than a role in Tax!  

The main brands we currently stock are Mulberry, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Chanel and YSL.  We occasionally stock other brands such as Goyard, Chloe and Dior, and hope to expand to include other designers in the future. As a small independent business with no physical store, and only an online presence, we are able to minimise overheads and strive to pass these costs savings onto customers.  Reduced overheads and cost base enables us to provide competitively priced and affordable handbags for our customers. 

Our ethos is to promote sustainability and provide authentic luxury handbags with complete peace of mind for both buyers and sellers.  Our attention to detail and rigorous review process means that items are described honestly and accurately so you know exactly what you are buying. We strive to provide excellent customer service with complete honesty and transparency. All brands except Mulberry are authenticated both internally and externally (via a professional authentication service). Mulberry is authenticated in-house but an additional external authentication can be arranged if required.
